Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
368 pages | Published by Dial Press

The Set Up: Gus is totally overwhelmed with the responsibilities of running his family’s ranch and single-parenting his daughter. He reluctantly turns to Teddy, his sister’s best friend, for help. The two have never gotten along, but over the course of the summer, unexpected feelings spark between them.
Another absolute treat from Lyla Sage! I had been waiting anxiously for this book because I knew I would love Gus & Teddy together. This was all grumpy sunshine, hate to love goodness.
I liked the addition of forced-proximity too; putting Teddy and Gus under the same roof was a great idea. Teddy’s bond with Riley was a really sweet relationship too.
I do wish the storyline around Teddy’s career was explored a bit more throughout. This series certainly isn’t groundbreaking, but they are quick reads with solid spice, but also some depth and character development.
Lyla Sage can keep writing about hot cowboys and I’m going to eat it up every time.
