The Set Up: The Maple Sugar Inn is the ultimate winter escape, but for widowed single mom Hattie, it’s a challenge just to survive the busy holiday season. When best friends Erica, Claudia, and Anna arrive for a book club girls trip, they connect with Hattie in unexpected ways.
The Book Club Hotel was cozy and delightful! It MUST be read this time of year so soak up all the winter vibes.
This book was so inviting. I felt like I was at a snow-covered inn in Stars Hollow, honestly. At times it felt a little cheesy, and certainly predictable, but I knew that’s what I would find going in. Once I sank into the story, I really didn’t want to put it down.
I really loved this friend group, and that the book alternated perspectives between them all. They were the kind of friends that everyone hopes to find at some point in life. I appreciated that each woman was at a pretty different stage of life, and their care and support of each other was just lovely.
If you need a gentle, feel-good read, this is a great one to pick up.
